Our school is located at 1015 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111. The property was initially a church and a school with the names of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran School, respectively. The school building has three floors with nine classrooms in total; a library on the first floor; a computer room, a kitchen, and a painting studio on the second floor. The school also has a multi-function gym for student activities. Each floor has a girl’s and boy’s bathroom. There are two emergency exits at the entrance of the school building and the back of the church building.
费城东北区中文学校是一所服务于费城东北区华人家庭和周边社区的，以弘扬中华文化，传承中华美德，促进中文教育和文化交流为宗旨的文化教育机构。学校以专业的素养，先进的教育理念，和卓越的服务致力于培养整全的人才。

Owner & Founder
Northeast Academy of Philadelphia was founded in September 2018 by Dr. Xie. Dr. Xie earned his doctorate from University of Waterloo, Canada, in analytical chemistry as well as two master’s degrees in physical chemistry. Dr. Xie is author or co-author of more than 20 articles in international scientific journals with a distinguished career in university and pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Xie is committed to promoting cultural exchanges between China and the United States as well as to helping Chinese and American students fulfill their educational and professional potential. His son graduated from Harvard University with majors in computer science and statistics.
谢博士毕业于加拿大滑铁卢大学, 同时拥有一个博士和两个硕士学位。谢博士受聘于宾州多伊尔斯敦市巴鲁克布隆伯格研究所并担任其客座教授，负责高中生教育研究项目的对外拓展。来美国之前曾在中国一所高等师范院校任教，有着丰富的教学指导经验；他对青少年教育极具热情，也是资深的教育留学专家，在设计学生个人成长计划方面颇有洞见。谢博士致力于通识教育的推广和发展，是东北区中文学校的创始人和校长。
